Elmer’s Bottle Tree Ranch, California, USA

What a work of art, what a vintage warehouse and what a symbolic signal for sustainable resource consumption in our throwaway society.

Elmer’s Bottle Tree Ranch is a landmark on the former Route 66 near Oro Grande in the Mojave Desert. Depending on the position of the sun, there are different light reflections in the bottle glasses; when the wind is blowing, there are also blowing noises at the bottle openings as well as through the self-assembled metal parts windmills. Even if this plant is known as the historical landmark it is missing in German Travel Guides. Stop there next time!

Here are some more impressions.
